I am usually not someone to reach out but I recently found out you were the musician behind my beloved Huggie tape. I am sure you have heard it before but hearing my tape almost brings me to tears, happy tears, filled of memories of my mom, dad, and big brother, our beloved animals that have since passed, my bed tent and the innocence and security of my childhood. My brother (a musician and physical therapist) also still has his huggie tape. We are all grown up now and it is great to have something so embedded with memories that it can trigger such a strong emotion from childhood, and one that adults don’t often get to stop and go back to in this day and age. Life as an adult is anything but secure. I am a mental health counselor and I specialize working with children and it is now that I can truly appreciate what those tapes did for children. My husband and i have recently started the process of adopting a two, almost 3 year old named Samantha, a child who has never known the word mom or dad or even home until now. Her world has been full of new places and strangers since she was a month old, a very scary place for a two year old. She had been in almost as many homes as I have fingers through no fault of her own. I would love to give her something as powerful as I had with my personalized Huggie tape that may instill a memory of love, safety, and happiness for her. I feel that music in itself can be healing, but especially music that sends a message of love, security and safety to a little girl who has never experienced those powerful and important messages. We have searched everywhere for any updated versions but have been unable to locate where, if at all, they may be in circulation. I was hoping you may know if there are any currently being replicated. I am not sure if it is a Huggie only product or if there is anyway to go about buying another. Any information you may be able to offer would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for writing a book and thank you so much for producing such a wonderful and comforting series of lullabies. The combination of the lyrics and your voice is incredibly powerful and you have become a big part of my childhood. Take Care and on behalf of all Huggie tape owners, we thank you!

I would also love to get the original songs! My 1 year old is currently sleeping to my tape, but I wish I had one for each of my kids so they didn’t need to listen to the tape with my name! Are the original songs going to be made available?

I also remember growing up with this tape. I have searched for years without any luck. I wish I could do a tape of those specific songs for my kids as well. They were so good and I still remember them 30 years later.

I was able to order the original Huggie's tape for my youngest daughter. My older daughters also loved it and wanted tapes of their own, but the promo was discontinued before I could order them. Nearly 30 years later, I, too, would still be interested in cd's with the original music if they ever become available! Even though my children are adults, they can still sing the songs by memory and would be tickled to finally get their own personalized songs. Sure hope this is an option some day!!

I just purchased the Sweet Dreams personalized lullabies for my new first grandson after my daughter told me she was singing them to him as she remembered for her original Huggies tape. First, how excited I was to learn David was the original composer! How excited I was to learn that after all these years, He is still using his gifts to lull our babies to sleep. Well I just couldn't wait to present the music to her. When the package arrived, I played it and LOVED THE NEW SONGS! I gave the package to my daughter, the new mom and her response was as I thought it would be. She cried tears of joy! Now our little new baby can grow up with these beautiful songs to lull him to sleep! I am so grateful to David for his gifts! I will be ordering more as gifts to new families!

I agree that bringing back those original three songs on cd would be such a gift to those of us who grew up with them — we can provide that same sense of security to our own children. I’ll never forget drifting off to sleep, thinking the man on the tape was my own father, blissfully unaware of the familial troubles surrounding me. Whether it’s possible to bring those songs back or not, I cannot thank David enough for the gift of security he brought me as a small child and well into my preteen years.

Yes yes PLEASE! The original songs are the songs I sing to my own son at bedtime. They are so special to me, more than any other lullabies I listened to as a child. These songs are so close to my heart, I want him to experience them like I have. Please make them available again!

I would LOVE to get that tape again for my daughter!! We still have the cover but have misplaced the actual tape I have searched the internet looking for it. I WOULD PAY ANYTHING to have that tape again and surprise my daughter with it. It was so special to us because my daughter has an unusual name and she loved hearing it being sung to her. I ordered that tape in 1987 and my daughter is now 33 years old. Please being it back!!!

I searched and searched online to find if they had these lullabies still. My name isn't very common so I know I had a super rare one that probably no one else would have (Emi) ... I would fall asleep to these lullabies all the time and would give the world to have another copy. Unfortunately when I was little we had to move several times and the tape got lost in the move :( If anyone knows where to get them.. please let me know!

Hi! My dad actually wrote these tapes when I was born for me :) trust me, if he could recreate them again we would have for my own kids :)

I agree with everyone! My daughter also has an uncommon name. It was so amazing to hear her name in the lullabies. I had the original cd for 20 years but then it recently broke. I would give so much to get a replacement. Or at the least, I’d love the dings even without her name piped in. Anyone have advice on this?

I too had one of these tapes as a child and now with my own baby, I very much wish there was a way to get these original songs. Maybe it’s not possible or maybe there’s another reason why we can’t order those same songs, but my heart wishes I could to sing these same songs I remember 30 years later to my own daughter.

OHMYGOSH....I am in tears! I am hoping I found the right place to have one made for my first grandchild. I had the Huggies tape made in 1986 for my son, and then two more when I had twin daughters in 1988. I have kept them in the SAFE for protection. If my son listened to a CD with "HIS" music on it, but with his son's name, I think he would cry. And he is a Marine.

My kids grew up listening to their tapes and I am brought to tears hearing them. My daughter and I desperately want to get them for my grandkids. So many people would buy these if anyone figured out a way to get them. They are priceless as far as I am concerned and so many agree! There has to be a way to get these back on the market. Please please please!!!
