I am usually not someone to reach out but I recently found out you were the musician behind my beloved Huggie tape. I am sure you have heard it before but hearing my tape almost brings me to tears, happy tears, filled of memories of my mom, dad, and big brother, our beloved animals that have since passed, my bed tent and the innocence and security of my childhood. My brother (a musician and physical therapist) also still has his huggie tape. We are all grown up now and it is great to have something so embedded with memories that it can trigger such a strong emotion from childhood, and one that adults don’t often get to stop and go back to in this day and age. Life as an adult is anything but secure. I am a mental health counselor and I specialize working with children and it is now that I can truly appreciate what those tapes did for children. My husband and i have recently started the process of adopting a two, almost 3 year old named Samantha, a child who has never known the word mom or dad or even home until now. Her world has been full of new places and strangers since she was a month old, a very scary place for a two year old. She had been in almost as many homes as I have fingers through no fault of her own. I would love to give her something as powerful as I had with my personalized Huggie tape that may instill a memory of love, safety, and happiness for her. I feel that music in itself can be healing, but especially music that sends a message of love, security and safety to a little girl who has never experienced those powerful and important messages. We have searched everywhere for any updated versions but have been unable to locate where, if at all, they may be in circulation. I was hoping you may know if there are any currently being replicated. I am not sure if it is a Huggie only product or if there is anyway to go about buying another. Any information you may be able to offer would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for writing a book and thank you so much for producing such a wonderful and comforting series of lullabies. Good morning. I just discovered your site, and wanted to send you a note of gratitude. In 2005, I ordered your Sweet dreams personalized lullabies album for my infant goddaughter. I kept it at my house, and it was a special treat for us to share something so precious when she visited me. I’ve never heard lullabies that compare to yours in their song-writing craft; so tender, so sincere, and the personalization made them that much more special.
All these years later, I still have that CD (which I need to rip to MP3), and my goddaughter still remembers the many beautiful hours we spent with those songs. They are memories I will forever cherish.
Now, with my own daughter soon to arrive, I’ve sought high and low to see if there’s any way to still get my hands on these albums! I regret not getting the rest of them for Finola over a decade ago. Is it possible? I’d get them all! 🙂
Either way, I just want to say a heart-felt “Thank You” for your part in helping us craft some beautiful memories. That album is still a treasured keepsake in my home, and every now and again I pull it out and bask in the beauty… and the memories.

Do you know if David Ropollo records any other tapes besides the ones for Gerber? If so, do you have a catalog or list of them? My son loves the birthday tape so I was interested in buying more tapes if possible.

I wanted to thank you for the lullaby tape for Lindsey. She loves it! Every time she lays down for a nap or when it’s time for bed, she says “tape, mommy” and points to the tape player. She seems so at peace when listening to “Lindsey’s tape”.

I recently ordered some lullaby CDs for my children. I ordered them through Stork Avenue. When I received them, I thought I recognized your voice as being the voice on my older children’s lullaby as well.
Many years ago (my oldest daughter is 21); I ordered lullaby cassette tapes through Huggies diapers. My children loved their lullabies with what I believe to be your voice. They remember, “Donna, Donna, it’s time for bed now…”
If this is still you, and I hope that it is, do you still make personalized recordings of your older songs? They are classics and if so, how can I purchase them?

It was nice of you to notice that Arnold and Maria ordered two additional “Katherine” lullabies for their daughter. She loved the tape so much that, unfortunately, she pulled on it and broke it—and not wanting to be caught again without a back-up they ordered two more tapes. It was really very kind of you to take it upon yourself to send her another one and both Arnold and Maria appreciate it very much.
We will be sure to come to you for additional tapes as they make lovely and welcome gifts for new babies. I know Maria has one of your catalogs at home; however, I would really appreciate having another to keep on file in our office.
